Mads has debuted a new project with bandoneon player, Åsbjørg Ryeng. Åsbjørg lives in Trondheim, Norway, and she is a masterful performer and arranger of the Argetinian tango and Astor Piazzolla’s Nuevo Tango. The two performed at Frederiksværk Musikfestival outside of Copenhagen and Ulriksholms Castle in Fyn in 2022.

Bobby Weir and the band was in great form as the month long tour ended at Radio City Music Hall in NYC with two concerts on April 2 & 3. On Saturday night bassist Ron Carter sat in along with vocalists Tyler Childers and Brittney Spencer.
Guitarist John Mayer was the surprise guest on Sunday night. Thank you to my Wolf Pack brothers and Wolf Bros for such a great time on the road!

In May, 2020 my website told me that it had enough. After 10 fruit-full years of hundreds of concerts, tweaks, edits and mouse clicks, my old site was fatigued and could go no longer. I am now very happy to announce that I have a newly designed website – still at www.madstolling.com. Please go and check it out. I would be happy to get any feedback of what you would like to see – or if something is not working for you.

Mads performed with bassist Stanley Clarke at the Gardena Jazz Festival in SoCal on August 25th, 2019. It was a great show that also had fellow violinist Karen Briggs sit in. The 8000 strong crowd were treated to some of Stanley Clarke’s hit with George Duke and Janet Jackson’s “Funny How Time Flies.”

Mads first played with Stanley Clarke back in 2003 after recommendation from Jean-Luc Ponty.
